How does Network Marketing work?

Network marketing is a business style that literally allows you to network with other business owners, attract new people to the network, share ideas, mentor new business owners, and help each other build successful businesses. Network marketing has been around for a very long time, but the internet has made it a more powerful business design than ever, with a global reach that was nearly impossible even two decades ago.

Network marketing allows you to own your own business while still being supported by others in the industry (those who introduced you to the business) and the basis of the business is that as you are building your business, you are also giving others the opportunity to join the network and achieve the same freedom as you by owning their own business. The success of each individual contributes to the success of everyone, so rather than being a cutthroat industry, it promotes social connection in a supportive environment.

If you are just getting into network marketing, expect it to take some time to be successful enough to leave the corporate world behind you. Expect to have to work while you build your business, and be prepared to spend 10-20 hours a week in building your business if you want it to be able to support you without relying on your corporate income.

Network marketing used to rely on word of mouth advertising. You would introduce the business to friends and family, who would introduce it to their friends and families and so on. If anything, the internet makes network marketing rely even more on word of mouth marketing it's just that, now, the word of mouth advertising grows exponentially. Instead of talking to one person or a small group at a time, you can have multiple internet tools working for you. Some of these tools include banner ads, blogs, collaborative technologies like Facebook and MySpace, Google adwords, pay-per-click advertising, and internet websites.

With more than one billion people using the internet, the potential to build a large network is unlimited. The internet allows you to work from home, on your own schedule, with extremely low costs of doing business. Other than an internet connection and a good web hosting service, your costs are minimal, meaning your advertising and marketing budget stretches further and reaches more people.

Because the internet allows you to expand your network quickly, it is important that you plan well from the very beginning. Make sure you have an image and brand identity that work for you; establish yourself as a credible businessperson through regular blogging efforts. Be a true presence on the web and within your industry. If you don't understand the tools that are available to you, educate yourself. Buy an ebook, hire a consultant, contract with a professional writer to provide content. Remember that everything you do on the internet has a lasting and profound affect on the success of your business, so approach it with the seriousness, professionalism, and enthusiasm that will bring you success.

What is Network Marketing?

This business is about utilizing your network and building new networks of customers and distributors to generate sales of products and services.
To this day, many “possibly even you” associate it unfairly as a pyramid or ponzi scheme. In the 1950's when Franchise’s first emerged they where labeled a scam, illegal etc.
Today, many traditional businesses embrace this form of marketing, it allows them to reach customers they might not otherwise. Generally, you cannot see them, it could be your next door neighbor is involved in it right now. Typically a home business does not have giant signs or large offices, yet according to the Direct Selling Association (DSA) over 13 million people in the U.S. are working within this business model.

It is a form of business in which you can make a small investment and through sheer tenacity achieve staggering levels of financial reward and personal freedom.

I believe Robert Kiyosaki summed it up nicely; it really is the
business school for people who like helping people!

Let’s take a look at the two types of business models that you could be involved in or approached with:

Network marketing / Multi-level marketing (MLM)

These companies typically though not always offer reasonably priced products and services that people consume in a short time. Generally, the commission structure is less up-front then the direct sales companies, but it has a benefit that most direct sales companies do not have which is the leverage from building an organization.
Today there are hundreds of companies you can look at, they cover everything from: Communication Services, Internet Access, Nutritional Products, Weight Loss Programs, Water Filtration Systems, Financial Programs, Electrical Power, Solar Power.
Typically costs less to get involved, from free to a few hundred dollars.
It allows more people to become directly involved.
It can build lasting residual income.
Leverages the time of others.
This business model is about sales and distribution; the ability to sell is the most important business skill you need. The best approach is the consultative sales approach, focusing on your customer’s needs.

Direct Sales Companies

These companies are known as seller-based, they market higher priced, usually one time sales items. The benefits of these programs are you make higher commissions, yet often they have very little if any residual income.
Essentially if you stop working so does your income, you are paid directly on what you personally sell, you have to sell lots and lots of merchandise. This also limits you to the type of people you can bring into your business as the “salesperson” type.
Affiliate programs fall under the direct sales company model. You only get paid when someone orders a product. There is nothing wrong with affiliate programs, some of them do produce a residual income as customers order the products or services on a continuous basis.

The only issue, I really have with many but not all affiliate programs, is the company then has the customer contact information and they really no longer need you anymore. It then becomes a one time sell for you, a long term contact for them.

I have found this to be a very rewarding career choice, the freedom from punching someone else’s clock, and now having to punch my own is really an eye opener. With todays economy the way it is, uncertain recession, inflated prices, working from home makes more sense then ever before.

Starting and running your very own business is not an easy task. If you’re willing to put in the time to educate yourself, to learn the most important skill you’ll need in life, the ability to sell, then it just might be right for you.
If you not only like working with people, but also helping them get more out of life, then this might just be for you! On the other hand, if you’re only in it for the money, odds are you’ll probably fail!

Understanding the Healing Response

Many people are caught off guard and fail to understand and interpret the symptoms when the body is changing from an acidic to an alkaline condition. Many of these symptoms and changes are unpleasant but they are short in duration, sporadic, and are a necessary part of the healing process.

There are several reasons why this happens:

1. The body and mind begin to show changes because the quality of nutrients coming into the body is of higher quality than the tissue of which the body is made. Your body has only one material from which to make tissue – your food and the nutrients it contains. Modern food usually contains poor nutrient content, and often it is even poisonous with additives.

The body begins to discard the lower grade materials to make room for the superior materials. The discarding of the material can come through the bowel causing “diarrhea”, though the kidney causing “backache”, through the respiratory system causing “cold” symptoms or through the skin causing boils, acne, rashes, psoriasis, etc., but these are temporary and will disappear when the body is cleansed of toxins.

2. Indigestion, heartburn, flatulence, bloating and burping usually starts soon after you start taking superior nutrients. This happens because your body is not used to digesting these nutrients, which often indicates that you have been deficient of these nutrients for a long time. The body's digestion usually improves in a week or two. Taking the nutrients with meals will often help.

3. Suppressed body functions will be stimulated to detoxify the body. The body will return to at least the same level of health as before, if not superior health, unless you do something to suppress this progress, such as:
Ceasing to supply these nutrients to the body
Reducing the supply too early

Continuing the intake of toxins which caused the problems in the first place

4. It is important at this time to rest and sleep more. Once the toxins are eliminated the body is ready for the building process.

5. Moderate weight fluctuation often occurs (either weight loss or weight gain) but will stabilize.

6. Skin rashes or acne. The skin is the largest eliminating organ, so the concept of toxins coming out through the skin is easily understood, even if it is hard to face.

7. Aches, pains and arthritis will often get stirred up, even if you haven't been suffering with it for years. This happens because uric acid and toxins aggravate these conditions as they are cleansed from the body.

8. Fevers can occur when dormant bacteria and virus are being cleaned out. This sounds discouraging, but the healing crisis doesn't last very long and the benefits of cleaning out these toxins and disease elements are vitally important. These bacteria, virus or toxins are going to show up sooner or later. You can either have a healthy body handle them on your terms or it will come out when it overpowers your weakened body.

It is better to go through small healing responses than a full-blown health crisis.

Key To preventing lifestyle diseases

Hippocrates, known as the father of modern medicine, had once said that a time will come when food will be taken as medicine and medicine will be taken as food. Modern medicine is today going back to the root cause of many diseases.

Improper diet causes nutritional disturbances in the body resulting in many diseases. Environment and genetic reasons enhance or check the disease. This is one of the emerging lines of study in modern medicine, which is termed Nutritional Medicine.

Famine had killed many in any number of countries. It had left an unpleasant notion worldwide that people are dying of starvation. Hence, there had been concerted efforts to increase output of food grain and other food products to prevent famine. In modern times, people are dying of excessive food, but they are yet to take stock of the situation.

People today eat according to convenience. The nutrient value of the intake of food is not however, appreciated, leading to a number of deficiencies. This imbalance in diet is said to have led to an increase in most of the lifestyle diseases. Modern medicine has found methods to treat these diseases, though the preventive aspects were seldom addressed.

Experts now opine that diabetes, cardio-vascular diseases, hypertension and even cancers can be prevented to some extent with a proper control over nutrition. The importance of nutritional medicine lies in taking stock of what we eat, how we eat and how much we eat.

Emerging Trends in Nutritional Medicine, the first workshop organised by Indian Nutritional Medical Association (INMA), during the weekend to stress the need for the right combination of food to prevent lifestyle diseases, addressed some of the growing concerns in the field.

The Association, formed by a group with a scientific temperament, including professionals in medical, engineering, environment science, agriculture, genetics and other related fields, is one of its kind in the country, says S.S. Manjunath, vice-president of the association.

Food is aplenty now but it is not consumed in the right manner. It was pointed out during the two-day workshop that tomatoes should become part of daily food, since lycopene, a nutrient found in tomatoes, helps in preventing cancers. However, the availability of tomatoes does not ensure that it is taken by individuals everyday as part of the diet, said A. Sreekumar, president of INMA.

INMA aims to promote research awareness and education in nutrition, nutritional supplements, environment and related fields and its clinical applications for prevention and treatment of diseases.

Reishi Tea Benefits

Reishi Tea Benefits have been acknowledged since ancient times as being potent in preventing and curing a host of ailments and diseases. Reishi is an herb that has been cited for thousands of years as being a tonic for emperors. Reishi has been known in traditional Chinese medicine as a "cure-all" herb or a "panacea tonic" due to its potent ability to benefit the vital energy or "qi".

According to Shen Nong's "Herbal Classic" and "Compendium of Materia Medica", the two monumental works in Chinese medicine, reishi is rated the best and most superior of all Chinese herbs. Reishi has somewhat mystical reputation in ancient China as being an "Immortal Herb" and is though to have such effective curative properties that it "brings the dying back to life".

Reishi is acknowledged as possessing anti-tumor, anti-diabetic, anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-allergenic and anti-hypertensive properties.

Known officially as Ganoderma Lucidum and in China as lingzhi, reishi is a polypore mushroom that grows in dark forests, deciduous trees and logs. It has a red-varnished, kidney-shaped cap, and also has pores underneath. Reishi is classified according to its color and shape, and each individual variety is believed to protect and nourish a different body organ. The classifications of reishi are: red (heart), green (liver), black (brain and kidney), white (lungs and skin), purple (joints), and yellow (spleen).

Reishi contains the following constituents: triterpenes, polysaccharides, alkaloids, lactones, mannitol and various vitamins and minerals.

Reishi tea can be made by placing about 5 grams of dried reishi mushroom herbs in about 6 to 8 ounces of boiling water. Allow the mix to boil for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then allow the resultant reishi tea to simmer for a further 2 to 3 hours. Then strain and enjoy.

The following are the health benefits attributed to reishi tea:

Reishi Tea may help in the treatment of heart diseases by lowering cholesterol and may thus help in impeding arteriosclerosis.

Reishi Tea may have certain anti-cancer properties as it enhances the human ability to fight abnormal cells and may improve the synthesis of protein and nucleic acid.

Reishi Tea may help relieve cough and asthma.

Reishi Tea may help sooth the mind and sedate the nervous system, thereby giving way to restful sleep and relaxation.

Reishi Tea may help in the nutrition of cells, thus delaying the aging process.

Reishi Tea may have beneficial effects on sufferers of diabetes, skin allergy and duodenal ulcers.

Reishi Tea may help in alleviating pain and discomfort associated with chemotherapy.

Reishi Tea may have protective properties on the liver and thus, may help in the fight against acute and chronic hepatitis.
